Solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

Agright is investing to add Solar and BESS to existing farms and has completed rollouts to our New Zealand farms during 2023 and to the Meriki farm in NSW in 2024.

Meriki Farm “off the grid solution”

Agright’s Meriki Farm will operate independently of the electricity grid. The system will be built around 4MW of solar arrays and 4.4MW Battery and Energy Storage System. This project will be the first poultry farm constructed in Australia or New Zealand that is completely Off Grid.

The Solar and BESS was installed in March 2024 with our partner Smart Commercial Solar.

Chertsey Primary School, New Zealand

Agright has supported our local Chertsey Primary School for their sports court project. The court is used daily by the students and the school now has a basketball team in the local competition. 8 of the school’s 36 students are part of the extended Agright team and Agright is proud to support our local school.
